2 On Tuesday: Cancelled Shows

Today I am linking up with My Chihuahua Bites Blog for her 2 on Tuesday series.
Today's topic: What two television shows that have gone off the air do you miss?
1. Lipstick Jungle.. BEST SHOW EVER!! I miss this show so much. Wendy, Nico and Victory were an amazing set of ladies. I thought the story lines were spot on and relate-able and the characters were strong. Why it didn't survive after just 2 seasons is beyond me.
2. Back in the day, I loved me some Felicity. Team Ben all the way! But let's be honest, doesn't everyone want a Noel in their life as well. She couldn't have gone wrong either way. I think I need to watch this series again. I miss it.
Link up and then leave a comment telling me what your two favorite cancelled shows are? I almost hate to admit this but I really loved me some Dawson's Creek (Team Pacey!) back in the day!

Happy Fall Y'all!
Happy Fall y'all! This is my favorite time of the year. The cooler weather, football on Saturdays, the leaves changing, any and all things pumpkin... the list goes on! We will be kicking off the fall season with a trip to the Dixie Classic Fair on Sunday. My precious mom is craving an elephant ear and this will be Mason's first trip to the fair. Although we won't be riding any of the rides, you can bet we will be sampling all the food, checking out the livestock and just taking it all in.
Katie from Loves of Life created this fabulous free printable to give you ideas of all the fun times that can be done in the Fall.
Photo from Loves of Life
We can't wait to check everything off the Fall Bucket List. This printable is just fabulous and really gets me excited that fall is finally here! We should also include a trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway on your list.
What fun things do you have planned for the fall season? Tailgating for your favorite team? Visiting a pumpkin patch or a corn maze? Perhaps you are like me and love all things pumpkin? Pumpkin spice latte anyone? I'd love to hear all your fun filled fall activities!

Happy Birthday Mama!!!
Happy Birthday to my wonderful Mama!
She is not only the best mom but she is my best friend.
Taken at my brothers wedding
If I am 1/2 the mom to Mason as my mom is to me, I will consider myself lucky. My mom is the most generous lady you will ever met. She is strong, brave and very successful in her career. Thank you mom for all that you have done and continue to do for me, Brian and Mason. We love you dearly!
Mason says..... LOVE YOU GRAMMY!!!

Sneak Peak: Mason's 1 Year Pictures
Right after Labor Day, we met up with Emily from Emily Elrod Photography in Old Salem to take Mason's One Year pictures. Emily was recommended to us by our dear friend, Katie, and we couldn't have been more pleased. Emily has two kids of her own and definitely has the patience and skills it takes to photograph toddlers.
Old Salem holds a special place in our hearts as it is where we got married and where I had my bridal portraits taken. If you live in Winston-Salem or the surrounding area, you should certainly check out Old Salem for your pictures. And if you are looking for a photographer to take your family holiday pictures, kids portraits, newborn sessions or anything else, I would highly recommend Emily Elrod Photography!
Here is a sneak peak of some of the pictures you captured of Mason...
Thank you Emily for capturing these pictures of Mason in his true form. The eyes, the half smile and the hair. Oh the hair! We love them!

Fall Lineup
It's Premiere week and I couldn't be more excited. Granted a lot of the shows we DVR and then catch up on at a later date but these are the shows that I will be tuning into this season...
Monday Nights
Dancing with the Stars
This is a show that we normally watch off and on. Not a big deal with we miss it.
Castle
Only one of the BEST SHOWS EVER!! This is one of the few shows that Brian doesn't mind watching with me. Seriously, if you haven't see it, you are missing out. We make sure to DVR it at all times, just in case.
Tuesday Nights
Tuesday nights are crazy busy with so many shows on!
Glee
Hit or miss. Not terribly upset if we miss it but still love a good musical show.
NCIS
Another favorite and one that Brian will watch with me. We DVR it anytime it comes on. Makes for a perfect little Friday night marathon.
The Biggest Loser
To be honest, not sure how much I will like this season with the new trainers but willing to give it a shot and see.
Dancing with the Stars: The Results show
Not terribly sad if we miss it but still try to catch it when we can. Or at least flip back and forth.
Parenthood
Great show. One that doesn't get enough recognition in my opinion.
Wednesday Nights:
Up All Night
Honestly, I wasn't crazy about it last week but willing to give it another try. Just wasn't as funny as I thought it would be.
Modern Family
I might be the last person on the planet to watch this show. I haven't seen it in previous seasons so this is a new addition to my line up. I've heard rave reviews and it racked up at the Emmys so looking forward to seeing what all the hype is about.
Thursday Nights:
Grey's Anatomy
This show sucks me in. I can't help it. I won't be happy when Derek leaves.
Private Practice
Another guilty pleasure shows. Brian can't stand this one though. I personally love it.
Friday Nights:
Dateline
Normally we spend Friday night catching up on the shows that we DVR'd through the week but if nothing else, we will turn this on sometimes.
No scheduled shows Saturday and Sunday. Since it's Football season, you can beat that is the only thing we watch if we watch anything. Usually we are too busy on the weekends to watch TV.
So tell me, what's on your fall lineup? Any shows that I just have to see?

Birthday Celebration #2: Sesame Street Birthday Part 2
I'll keep this simple and to the point. We ate yummy food, watched Mason do his thing with his smash cake, enjoyed delicious cupcakes, played corn hole while the kids got their craft on, opened presents and took pictures with the photo prop.
And now I'll let the pictures do the talking...
Main Food Table: Pizza, veggie cups, fruit skewers, chips, goldfish, animal crackers, cookies, cupcakes
Mason and his smash cake. He wanted nothing to do with sitting in his highchair so we placed him on the floor and his girlfriend, McKinley, decided to join him! It was so cute!
After getting the kids cleaned up, we headed outside to run off all the food before opening presents. We had set up our corn hole boards in the backyard and also set up a table on our deck. It was a little too hot to sit and eat outside so the table didn't get used that much.
I had also set up a craft table for the older kids (Harper and Palmer). They loved it and helped keep them from getting bored.
After some time outside, everyone came back in and watched as Mason opened his gifts. He wasn't really sure what to do but no worries, Harper and Palmer showed him how it was done.
And now for my favorite part of the party... our photo prop. Brian made it and painted it and I think it turned out perfect. It was a big hit!
All the kiddos were sent home with their own treat bag while the adults got to enjoy candy from the candy bar.
By the end of the party, the kids were exhausted. That's a sure sign of a good party, right?
Mason is blessed with so many people that love him and we can't thank everyone enough for their fellowship. And that, my friends, was Mason's first birthday party. Sesame Street Style.
Vendors:
Mason's Elmo T-shirt: Braylabee's
Party Printables: Shindig Parties
Polka Dot Balloons, decorations, Paper Straws: Polka Dot Market
Plates, Napkins, Utensils: Target
Elmo PJs: Walmart
If there is something I forgot to cover or something you have a question about, feel free to send me an email or leave a comment and I'll be happy to answer.
Guess it's time to start thinking about his 2nd birthday party! I love party planning!
