Royal Wedding

It's 4am EST and the wedding of Prince William & Catherine (Kate) Middleton aka The Royal Wedding coverage is just beginning. I haven't really followed the coverage too closely in the days leading up but I am excited to watch the wedding.

I think Kate is beautiful and I can't wait to see her wedding dress. I really do think they are a cute, down to earth couple. I can't wait to see how beautifully decorated everything is. It will be interesting to see how Princess Diana is remembered in the ceremony. I am sure it will be very special. I love all things wedding so this is something that I certainly did not want to miss.

Now, if only I was invited to Tori Spelling's Royal Wedding party, then I would be set!!
So, are you watching The Royal Wedding? Did you DVR it, like me, so you didn't have to get up so early?

April Race - Lillie's Friends 5K

Sometimes our races have been selfishly for faster times or goals of increased fitness, but sometimes our races are for an excellent cause. The Lillie’s Friends 5K is in honor of Lillie Boyt who was a 4 year victim of a neuroblastoma. All of the proceeds from this race went toward research in pediatric cancer. What a great way to continue our challenge, by supporting a worthy cause, especially with some new little ones in our family.

As extra motivation, Jennifer and Reagan joined us for the race, and as a result, Lynsey shaved an impressive 4 minutes off of her previous race. Her goal is to go faster each race, and she has set the bar high for part 5 of the challenge with her impressive time in this race.

The weather was chilly and damp so Mason decided to stay at Grammys as he was getting over a cold. Perhaps we will have our little buddy back in action for our May race.

4 down, 8 to go!

Movin' on up...

A lot has been happening in Moore house lately. This just happens to be the biggest one...

Yup, our current house is officially under contract!!!This has been a huge blessing for us and while it is somewhat bittersweet for me, I am really excited about our new house. I'll do another post on what lead us to this decision and why it is so bittersweet for me.
And speaking of new house.. it all came down to two houses that we loved.

The first house we looked at:

Or the second house we looked at:

Closing is scheduled for May 5, so check back then to see which one we will be calling our "forever home"!

And... these two cuties will be getting major face time on the blog this week as I recap our visit from Jennifer and Reagan. Let's just say.. we miss them already!!!

Happy Easter!

On this glorious day, I wish you all the love and happiness for a wonderful Easter. Friday night I watched the ACM’s Girls’ Night Out on CBS, in which they were honoring Reba McIntyre, Martina McBride, The Judds, Jennifer Nettles, Miranda Lambert, and of course my girl crush, Carrie Underwood.

Each star was honored by having another star sing one of their songs and then joining them for a duet. Vince Gill chose to sand Jesus Take the Wheel and did so beautifully. Then Carrie Underwood joined him on stage for their duet and as soon as she started to sing, tears flowed for my eyes.

See, the song she sang has special meaning to me. This song is one of my Papaw Chapman's favorite songs. He has been in declining health lately and not only is today Easter but it is also his 94th birthday! Happy Birthday Papaw!!!

So I thought this song was not only appropriate to post on Easter but also to post for Papaw!

How Great thou Art! Indeed! How Great thou Art! Jesus is RISEN! He is RISEN Indeed!

Who loves the Easter Bunny?

Yesterday Jennifer and I took Reagan and Mason to have their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny at the local mall.  Here is the outcome of our little excursion...

Someone wasn't too happy to see the somewhat creepy bunny...

And someone didn't know what the heck to make of this strange brown bunny...

We plan to take better pictures when they are in the Easter best on Sunday! Wish us luck!

Battle Bud

It is not a secret that I hate running. I would rather walk really really fast for 10 miles than run one single mile. I'm a competitive person by nature and since I am not a strong runner, therefore I do not like it. With that being said, I do know that running is very beneficial to me. It is one of the only ways I will lose these pregnancy pounds. So what keeps me motivated when all I would rather do is sit on the couch with a Little Debbie in my hand? Having a friend like Jennifer as what I refer to as my "battle bud".

Jennifer pushes me and motivates me even if it is from afar and even if she doesn't realize it at the time. Right before I got pregnant with Mason, I pledged to do 12 5k's in 12 months. Jennifer was my accountability partner.  She is the perfect person to hold me accountable. She is a friend that can handle my venting and knows just how much to push me. Plus, she is in amazing shape... so she inspires me as well.

Seriously, if running races when you are 6 months pregnant isn't an inspiration, then I don't know what is.
Stolen from Jess' facebook (thanks Jess!)

Needless to say, those 12 5k's didn't happen at the time. But... I am back at it. Starting in January, I pledge to do 12 5k's in 12 months and actually accomplish it this time. My goal is to improve my time from the previous race and finish. Plain and simple. I don't expect miracles. Having a goal helps me set my mind to achieving it. It makes me get off the couch and get moving. I could always move more so that's my goal starting today. Move more each day.

January Race

February Race

March Race

The next race is April 23 and guess what? Jennifer will be visiting and is going to run with race with me! I am one lucky girl because I also have a totally wonderful and supportive husband who goes along with my crazy ideas and has run each race with me. Thanks hun!

If you have a "battle buddy" and want to share your story, you could be in the running for a big prize from The Biggest Loser!

Got Skills?

The seventh month of Masons life has brought on a whole new set of skills. We truly are amazed each day as we watch him take everything in and learn some much. First, as of Sunday the 10th, he has his first tooth!! We are still trying to get a picture of it but you can certainly feel that sharp little thing.

Next, he has decided he really enjoys rocking on all fours. He is so slow to crawling. I suppose now would be an excellent time to baby proof the house.

Although he did have some help, he does like to stand for extended periods of time holding on to something. He is so cute trying to balance on his legs. Our little baby is growing up.

And although this is not a new skill has he has been sitting unassisted for awhile now, I still think it is a cute picture. He loves to look out the glass door at my parents house. On this particular day, he was waiting to greet his grammy.

Where has the time gone? I can't believe he has acquired so many skills! Isn't it amazing to watch someone grow and learn right before your every eyes? What new skills has your baby recently acquired?

Happy Everything

I recently won a giveaway from Coton Colors and it arrived at my door today. I am now the owner of a set of 4 of these pretty bowls!

Brian put it best.. they are the perfect size for a scoop or two of ice cream. The bowls are very well made and so colorful. I can not wait to use them.

Coton Colors has so many wonderful items that would be perfect for different occasions and holidays as well as gifts.

How adorable is this Easter platter:

I'm pretty sure Brian wouldn't mind this wreath hanging on our door

And this ornament would be perfect for a certain little boy that happens to turn 1 in August

This non-breakable set is a perfect way to celebrate Christmas with little ones

While  this ornament is currently sold out, I do plan to stalk the website until it becomes available so we can have it hanging on our tree at Christmas

And Coton Colors is probably most well known for their Happy Everything series.

With the platter and all the different attachments, it would be a perfect gift for anyone!

Do you own a piece of Coton Colors pottery? Is there something that really caught your eye on their site?

**I won the bowls in a giveaway. I did not receive compensation for this post and these are my own opinions.**

Babies, Babies, Babies

Seems like a lot of my friends are pregnant right now. Oh, how I love the babies.  Just a glance:
  1. My bestest, Colleen, is due April 18!!! I can not wait to find out the gender of Baby Belward and the name they have chosen. I envy the fact that they have wanted it all to be a surprise. My OCD would not allow us to not find out.
  2. My friend, Lindsey, is due May 26 with a little girl! I can't wait to meet her and have future play dates!
  3. My friend and former co-worker, Megan, is due May 29 with a girl. This will be her second daughter and I know that Julia couldn't be more excited!!
  4. Brian's cousin, Mardieth, is due in June with another little girl. This will be baby #4 for Mardieth and Josh.
  5. And we just found out that one of our favorite families ever... The Smarts...

are expecting baby #3. Sarah is due November 11. I can not tell you how excited I am!!! Sarah is super MOM and my go-to-friend when it comes to anything baby related. Harper and Palmer are going to be the best big sisters ever!! I can not wait to meet Baby Smart #3! My heart is overjoyed!!

Next year at this time, there will be another little Smart to add to this picture...

and let's hope my baby Mason doesn't have this much drool next year.

Mason is going to have so many playmates. This makes me one happy momma!!!

Splish, Splash...

We've come a long way in 7 short months. What used to be the dread bath time is now the most anticipated bath time. Mason would stay in the bath for hours if we let him. He loves it so much. It's amazing to look back and see how much he has really grown in 7 months!

Tiny newborn

A healthy and happy 7 month old.

His towel is starting to get a little too small. We are so blessed to have such a healthy, fun, loving little boy. God is good!

Speaking of towels, I would LOVE to get Mason a big, soft hooded towel that is monogrammed. Any one have suggestions on which towels are the best? Any favorite websites to order from?

Happy April!

Happy first of April aka April Fools' Day! I've never been a big fan of all the joke playing on Fools' Day so you won't be finding any jokes here. Instead, since it is the first of April, I can show you our Easter outfits finally! In true Moore family fashion.. we will be matching!

First up, Mason's outfit. I simply adore it. It was purchased from a local boutique, Buttons and it is Petit Ami.

Next we have Brian's outfit. A slight variation but nevertheless and inspiration. He currently owns all similar items.

And finally my outfit.. Which I own items similar to all of these.

One thing you will notice is missing... shoes for me. There's a reason. It's because I need suggestions on what shoes you think might look good with this outfit. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Please HELP!!!
